Your gifts
This Bible Sunday your gifts can help children and young people all over the world unlock the Bible’s treasure for themselves – like those in Jamaica’s Sidewalk Sunday Schools.
By bringing the hope of Scripture to young people affected by guns, gangs and violent crime, we can play a part in Bible Society’s mission to see lives and communities transformed by the Bible’s inspiration, revelation and wisdom.
‘What’s important is that the children realise they are somebody,’ said Courtney Stewart, General Secretary of the Bible Society of the West Indies. ‘They have worth and value. The drugs and violence, the criminal behaviour, is not the only option. There’s another way – a way of hope.
‘It’s by engaging with the Scriptures that the scales will fall from their eyes. Their way leads to death. You don’t need to view you life span as just 23 years. You don’t need to become pregnant aged 13. The Word of God speaks of hope.’
So don’t miss this year’s Bible Sunday. Don’t pass up the chance to unearth the Bible’s riches for yourself — and don’t miss the opportunity to help young people around the world discover the Bible’s life-changing message.
- £4 can provide a Bible for a young person
- £40 can provide 10 Bibles for a class
